About Coach

My passion for health and fitness started around 15 years ago when I first stepped into a gym environment.

Initially, training was to build strength for rugby but quickly I felt the profound benefits that went way beyond this and how training had a huge positive impact on my self-confidence and self-esteem and overall impacted my life significantly. So much so that I made it a mission to study, learn, and then share and help as many people as possible through fitness.

Upon discovering functional fitness after finishing playing rugby I experienced firsthand the profound effect community can have on an individual, inside the gym in elevating performance and enjoyment but also outside the gym in building connections with people and improving mental wellbeing.

Fortitude was created to help as many individuals within the Lydney area learn to enjoy training with purpose, become more comfortable and confident in the gym and bring together incredible, like-minded people. I truly believe coaching is something everyone no matter what their experience level can benefit from and Fortitude strives to provide this.

Turning Point

The turning point in my life was finishing rugby, With no purpose to training I got bored of the same bodybuilding type workouts and my motivation was dwindling. I stepped into a CrossFit gym for the first time at university and never looked back.

The power of performance-based training with the community brought a newfound purpose for training and connected me with so many great people nearly 10 years on I still see and speak to regularly.

Functional fitness gives me purpose, and focus and most importantly supports my mental wellbeing and helps me to feel great.‍

Motivation & Passion

I want to help individuals make training a non-negotiable life-long habit they integrate effectively around their families work etc so they can share all the positive benefits physically and mentally that i and many of our members benefit from.
